The handbrake shouldn't have any effect on the warning light, the only
connection between the two is that they both operate independently on the
shoes.  However it *could* happen if the adjustment is way off on one side
which would cause a long pedal as well as a long lever.  Unlike disc
callipers MGB shoes always return to the same resting place no matter how
far they have to travel to reach the drum, they are not self-adjusting.
