I found this on www.mg-b.de

Some good information on this site -

Pity about Bablefish though....

"With a thin hose, the beginning in the change to the proximity of the
carburetor bridges, the end of the hose by the ear hold and equal strong
hissing both carburetors with the set screws (5) to idling speed stop.
A further possibility the synchronisation of the carburetors to adjust
consists of bending two fahrradspeichen in such a way in the 90 degree angle
which these immerse instead of the group of absorbers into the absorber oil
reservoirs. The spokes fixed with a thin hose in the diameter of the
absorbers, thus it opposite to stand oneself. Now number of revolutions the
difference of the carburetor pistons can be observed and stopped with each.
(this suggestion was tested yet, and does not originate not from the
guidance! "
