Nothing much wrong with the SD1 - at least they seemed to have avoided the 
plethora of niggling warranty problems the 2000 had. In fact they are a fairly 
nice car to drive, especially in manual trans form - they just don't turn my 
crank as far as looks are concerned. The 2000 was a bad joke at the time among 
dealers and mechanics, though - ask an old BMC mechanic if you know one ;-)
