Zach,
To clarify my last response: No, you don't usually replace the drums
at the same time as the shoes. In fact, I can't remember ever replacing
drums on any of my cars in the last 25 years. Unless there is a
problem/defect, or there isn't sufficient material for a shop to turn
them, your drums should last a long time.
