You guys are too kind. The Abingdon pillow refers to that ugly
monstrosity of a dash that came out starting with the 1968 MGs,
replacing the sleeker metal dash.

safety 
requirements. Abingdon on Thames was where MG's were built  beginning
with the 
first post war MGTC's to the very last MGB's built on Oct.  22, 1980
