The deposits are so minute that those in one fill will cause no problem.  It's 
continually draining and refilling with tap water that would cause the problem, 
like wet central heating systems.  Unwise to use water on its own, you need 
anti-corrosion properties at least even if you don't need anti-freezing 
properties.
