_IF_ the removal tools work.  A set of Snap-Ons failed to do anything on my
VW.  One of the less savory repair shops in the area had one of their 300lb
gorillas remove the lug nut (or lug bolt in this case) with an air chisel.
Had it out in about 10 minutes, cost me $5.  And even though I have a couple
of cheapo air chisels in the shop, I am not brave enough to perform a job
like that.  Factory VW 17" wheels cost nearly $550 each and I don't want to
ruin any more!  (I have had to buy two replacements this past winter, thank
you very much Pennsylvania potholes).  The mechanic removing the lug bolt
did not even nick my wheels though, so that was a happy ending.

Like Trevor, I immediately went to the VW dealer and bought four replacement
non-keyed lug bolts.  I figure theives are more into snatching those $10k
spinner gansta-chrome wheels than a my VW wheels.
