heh. jim, you're sharp. you've correctly inferred from my subtle implication
that I do not like that smell. actually, I do not like being overpowered by
that smell. a small amount would be livable.
already looked in and under everything. wiped all hard surfaces. a lot. I
thought it must be the carpet, because there's nowhere else to hide, but I
can't tell a stronger odor coming from there.
I'll be trying the baking soda on the carpet, the grass, the hide food on the
seats, and whatever vinyl cleaner I can get on the dash. I dunno, it's
something you kinda gotta experience, I guess. this afternoon it was
incredible--localized nowhere in the car, but overpowering all the same. made
my nose run. I think some of whatever it was must be in the vent system. and
it's oil-based, anything else would have evaporated by now.
