Yeah, .31 is close enough, the seals were a rubber
looking material with enough elasticity to slip fit
over the stems, nominal 5/16".

I was quoting from my official Triumph Spifire
Workshop manual, new inlet stems are .310-.311, while
ex are .308-.309, I had looked it up before posting to
be sure.
