Does anyone out there know how many times the Distributer drive gear
turns per engine revolution on a 70 GT6+? This is the only gear ratio I don't
know.
Iv'e got a new Mallory distributer that has a mechanical tach drive
but the ratio on the distrib is 1 to 1 . On the original distributer the
drive ratio is roughly .6 to 1 .
So when I send the tach out for overhaul it needs to have the gear
ratio changed and/or i need a gear box on the distrib to keep the cable rpm
down to acceptable levels.
Does anyone have any expertise in this area? My mind (whats left of
it) gets a little boggled when i start thinking about gear ratios. I need all
this Info for the repair shop so the tach will be accurate.
