 My thought would be that it would probably be just as difficult as 
developing an aluminum cylinder head, only the cyl. head would have a bigger 
power benefit payback and probably more demand among the power-starved 
Spitfire community.
 I have heard that the MGB aluminum cylinder head is CNC milled from a solid 
billet, which, it would seem to me, is easier than the casting, milling, etc. 
involved with a bellhousing. How about a DOHC? ;-)
