The Lucas electronic ignition uses a AC/Delco-Remy ignition or control
module.  This is a very commonplace module used in pretty much all GM
vehicles from 1975 to 1982.  It saw service in later vehicles too as well,
but it's definately the module of choice for HEI or High Energy Ignition
systems.  It's a four terminal unit with spade connectors.  Three are the
same size, one is much smaller than the rest so it is easily keyed for
correct wiring.  It's also dirt cheap.  Typically it runs about $25 at
most auto parts stores.  Anyone can match it up easily by just looking at
it since it has a unique shape to it.  It actually fits inside the
distributor in most GM and AMC vehicles, hence its curved shape.  It has
found its way into a number of industrial applications as well.  The only
thing that really goes wrong is when it fails due to heat.  It's critical
to make sure you use the heat sink grease that it comes with.  The bottom
of the unit is metal and it gets blisteringly hot and needs to transfer
that heat to the body of the distributor or housing to disperse it safely.
