We just saw the Italian job and other than having modified Minis drive
around, having stolen a bunch of Italian gold bars and monkeying with the
city's traffic light system it's not anything like the original. However,
having said and knowing that, I went with an open mind which was probably a
good thing -
I found it to be quite entertaining - decent enough action - plausible
story (if you don't mind stretching reality as if any movie doesn't do
that) and over all much better than I had expected - probably due in part
to my expectation that it wasn't anything like the old one - I wasn't
making any comparisons to the old one - I would say worth a peek for some
mindless entertainment. . . I would have to give it two thumbs up!
