I think you are looking for a simple answer here.
#1 plug wire is on the right side of the coil wire on the lower holes.
This is for a side entry cap.
3 holes on top, 2 on bottom, coil in center hole on top, #2 is right of
coil, #4 is left of coil,
#1 right of coil lower, and #3 left of coil lower.
If I could draw I could make it look simpler.

Again #1 would be the first hole just left of  the "U" shaped notch
looking down on the cap from the outside.
