I will attempt to charge it up this evening.  The alternator belt seems
tight, and the alternator clearly spins when the engine turns.  I was last
week getting a very faint glow on the ingition warning light when on a full
load.  (Heater fan, headlights, and brakes all working).

Last evening I attempted to assess the connection of the wires on the back
of the alternator, and I am not sure of how well that connection is.  Does
the connector just slide on to the flat posts, or is there a locking tab or
small bolt that must also be attached?

Futher question:  I have an alternator from a 1500 Midget.  Will it work/fit
on a '74?  It came with a square mounting bracket, but I don't see such an
item on the 1275.
