Brad,

I don't think this tactic will work in this case. The guy knows what he's got, 
and won't settle for less than $3500. The reason he put it on the market, is 
because, people kept knocking on his door, asking him if he wanted to sell the 
car, and I don't think he's ever done a restoration himself, and is overwhelmed 
by the task. Kepp in mind that classic cars go for a premium here is Silicon 
valley:-(
