Well hello all ;-)
The engine I am rebuilding is going to the shop tomorrow. Now one of the
things I noticed as I disassembled it was that one of the cam shaft lobes
seems to be worn more than the others. Not sure until the machine shop
actually measures it. So I was thinking about bowing in wonder to the
wisdom of the list. If I have to buy a cam, why not get one that gives a
bit more oomph to my 1500.
So opinions please.
I want a slight increase in performance, but something that is still
streetable. Nothing radical, nor a Hi-Perf race cam that won't idle for
crap. Just a bit more.
In addition I was thinking on the tranny. Spit OD unit (where might I
find one?) or a 5-speed, if I can find one, local like.
Not real sure if either of those fit in the budget, but thought I would
do some homework now.
