Daniel, I know the British have stood with us at times, but I also was
in Tehran in 1979, remember that? I was a Marine at the embassy who was
luck enough to escape being taken hostage. I went to the British
embassy for assistance and was quickly told they couldn't risk their
safety to help Americans. Went to the Canadians and got a tottally
different story. Sure y'all stayed in the Gulf war, but that was an
easy choice, wasn't it? The whole world against Suddam?
The truth is, none of our Allies have ever repaid us one onehundredth of
what we have given them, and so this occurrence is no surprise to those
of us who have been there and given what we have.
