The main advantage is they are higher strength than the standard
helical gears, furthermore being c/r means that with race engines,
you are always in the powerband on change-ups.

But I can't recommend it for the street - 1st is taller so starts
are not as carefree, and worst of all, s/c gears are *NOISY*. It
will drive you crazy in everyday use...

the gears as opposed to 20+ percent with standard
street gears.
