It can be done with a jack, but I always felt more
comfortable with the long bolt method. I eventually made up
a press to do the job quicker. I used 2 long bolts, a 1"x1"
crossbar with a hole through the center and a welded on nut,
and a threaded rod with a welded on nut through the
crossbar.  Like this:
