Has anyone tried an approach similar to Franks, but instead of Speedy Metal
Polish using a clear wheel coating, like Eastwood's Nyalic (spelling?) and
then wax? I did 3 sets of silver painted steel wheels with their clearcoat
and it does not seem to yellow or chip (yet).

Alex

I sanded mine down with 400 wet/dry sandpaper. then about a night on
each with Mothers aluminum polish and a felt pad on an electric drill.
Then a finishing coat of Speedy metal polish.
From that initial major cleaning, I only use Speedy on them maybe twice
a year now. (like last weekend before Britfest) I may do it again in the
fall.
