       that's an easy one. the collisions are identical. ..

       F=MA. .. force equals MASS times acceleration, or deceleration
       in this case.

       this is why they don't give the results of crash tests of
       vehicles against different weight classes. then if becomes too
       obvious that the safer car IS the heavier car. (or SUV)...

       most people won't believe that two cars approaching each other
       at 70 mph hit with the same force as one car hitting that
       object at 70. they (instinctively) know that 140 is faster than
       70, but they're wrong!
