Hello Bob,

       i didn't mean use the timing light for static timing... i meant
       which METHOD is better..........

       i have a CRANCE unit installed, so i can turn the dizzy until
       it snaps, then tighten up the dizzy. i can do static timing
       without finding a 12 volt bulb and all that other hook up
       stuff. i also have a good bright timing light so i can do that
       way too.... (unfortunately it is NOT the adjustable kind.)
