If I remember my college physics, PV=nRT with no provision for different
gases. This means that Nitrogen will change pressure WRT temperature
just as much as air. If I had to guess, I'd say the rationale was lack
of oxygen and water.
I doubt there would be any good reason to use helium either. It conducts
heat very will, which is a plus. However, it will diffuse through almost
everything including glass. I can't imagine a helium-filled tire staying
inflated for more than a couple of weeks.
Sure, "Scrum" is a weird name, but "Assault and Battery" was already taken.
