I'm a lot less qualified to answer than many on the
list, but I'm a little older than you, and as a kid if
I behaved my father would take me to Sportique motors
to let me look at the British cars. They sold Jags,
MGs, Lotuses, Triumphs under the BL banner by the time
I was frequenting it. The owner's daughter went to my
hgh school, and she was impossibly hot. She got a
Spitfire for her 16th birthday, which made me realize
her looks would only take her so far.
