1966 AH Sprite
When I was shop foreman at the VW / Porsche dealer we had a (lazy /
inept) tech do a fuel line recall on a 914. He slit through some hard
plastic fuel lines and did not notice. When he started the car the
fireball coming out of the engine compartment (lid was open) was
spectacular - and the customer was watching through the waiting room
window!!! Amazingly the only real damage was some melted plastic letters
(P-O-R-S-C-H-E) on the lid.
