Two points:

A lister who seemed to know his stuff when it comes to oil mentioned that
you should change your oil at least once per year because certain properties
of the oil tend to diminish after that period.

My dad, who has been a mechanic for ever uses Chevron Delo.  Therefore I do,
as well.  I don't know what makes it good but if he uses it, that's good
enough for me.  I guess I could ask him why, but whatever the reason, I'm
sure it is a good one.
