Good luck finding any made in USA.  You can't buy the materials to
make them for less than a good set from China.

If you don't trust them, test them.  Jack up one end of something
heavy, like a bus or big truck and put one jack stand under it.  Let
the jack down.  If it holds, it is a keeper.  If it doesn't hold,
bring it back to HF and tell them you want another or your money back.

My jack stands are Sears Craftsman, which nowadays is no better than
the stuff you can find at HF.

I have several Homier $10 jacks.  I keep one in the truck because it
does the job and doesn't take 10 minutes to unpack and set up, like
the factory scissor jack.  Homier is one step below HF in quality of
finish but cheaper.
