Reading the mail on the other responses, I thought I'd
clarify a point.

The Mallory Uni-Light (uses a light), the Pertronix (hall
effect) and the other distributors, alone, do NOT increase
the spark energy.  They may look great, be more reliable, do
a lot better job than points, have good mechanical features,
have easily altered advance curves, etc.

They do NOT increase spark energy, except insofar as they
are better switchers, and reduce voltage drop across points,
and have better shaped switching (more square).

Again, you want FAT spark, you buy FAT box.
