The dipstick and tube are stock Ford, The original dipstick
will have FoMoCo script on it. Any Ford dipstick will work
as long as the length is right. Fill you car with 5 quarts
assuming you change the filter too, and run the engine.
Stop wait 5 minutes for the oil to drain back and then
choose a dipstick that show full.
The metal plates between the motor mounts and engine I
believe act as heat deflectors since they are so close to the
exhaust mainfolds. I believe SS has them. They will not
effect the alignment.
