I examined the photo under good zoom and found that the reflections on the paint
of the car's side appear very realistic, and hardly a job of a photo edit. I am
not sure what you mean by 'pointy fin', as these are not apparent to me. The
angle of the shot makes the peak of the tail light outline stand-out, but it
does
not look like an early Alpine, but the standard later body. In my
unprofessional
opinion, the car is real. How they got that sideways engine, with the dual
overhead cams, inside the engine compartment is a mystery. I realize, of
course,
that the engine would not be put in sideways, but these designs have many
components hanging over the bell housing area of the engine. I reversed the
intake manifold top on my Fiero engine custom car, with some re-plumbing of
lines
and wires, but that was when these designs were simpler. The DOHC engines are
very wide across the top, and we hardly have much side clearance now. I'd really
like to see what's under the hood.

One factor that might bear a closer look is the rear compartment room. As it
know
is, our legs are well forward of the door front edge, under the dash and into
the
firewall area. The rear doors on this car appear short, and I can't imagine
that
there are really useable seats in the rear.

BTW: the link was down when i just tested it, so it's lucky that I snagged a
copy
earlier.
