Chuck

It is time to grow up and accept Curt's gracious apology.
I see that you don't belong to CAT, and maybe not STOA, but
you are a more recent member of the TE/AE family. Family
is the right word. The Sunbeam family is one of the most
helpful and self-effacing group you'll ever encounter. There
as so few cars involved that no manufacturer will even address
making parts for our cars such as ball joints, bushings, etc.
We a left to the few dedicated enthusiasts who use their
lifelong contacts to get parts made. Curt and Rick have
provided us with an irreplaceable source of parts and help.
As stated in other replies, you are dealing with many
sources and things that neither Rick nor Curt can control
nor anticipate.

Curt and Rick provide a service not just a business. If
you expect to order parts like ordering for a Corvette,
you are mistaken. I can swear to you that if they have
the part in hand, they will ship it. But if not, you have to
wait like everyone else. Do you expect Curt to maintain
a big $ in inventory, just so you can order a few parts
that may be slightly cheaper that elsewhere. Curt and
Rick are not making big bucks with their operations.
In fact, I suspect that often Curt loses money on many
of the items he sells, just to help a fellow owner out.

Your attitude is what helped TT in making his decision
to leave the business.

You mention that you are restoring your Tiger. I would
not want to be that person doing the engine or body
work. Please tell me that you not one on those many
people who contact me looking for parts or help, just
to fix a car and sell it for a huge profit. I no longer
have parts for these people. I have and will spend many
hours helping local members with their cars usually
for the price of a meal.

Fix your Tiger and drive it. Get involved with owners
near you. Plan to attend the TE/AE United in St Louis
this Oct 5-7. I fact I'll buy you a beer. In the meantime
I suggest you order your stuff from Victoria British. You
deserve each other.
