HELP!
I just had my speedo crap out and it went out rather quickly. It appears
that the bushing inside the speedo seized and then grabbed the cable and I
believe it ate the inside of the gear in the transmission. Regardless, Now I
need to fix it and need a new gear and a place to rebuild my speedo.
I would really like to get this done ASAP and could use suggestions as to
who could fix it for me and make it a permanent repair.
I also need a new gear for the end of the speedo cable for 3.07 gears as
that is what I will be changing to in the diff next month. Please tell me if
it is available from Ford or any of the Mustang places. Part number would be
great.
This really ticks me because it seems the replacement cable was slightly too
large (long in the head length) and that is why it ate the speedo.
