Very common ebay scam, almost a daily occurrence that a valuable car is
offerred for a ridiculous "Buy it Now" price. The common theme in all will be;
Seller out of town / foreign country and never available for a direct
transaction. You can never purchase one of these phantom cars immediately, for
cash,
because they dont actually exist or the actual owner has no idea his car is
being offered on ebay.
The winning buyer will always be required to wire some form of good faith
deposit, or total purchase price, to be held in "escrow" which will be
disguised
as a legitimate 3rd party, like Ebay Escrow, but is actually a spoof site that
will complete the transaction, mainly take your money and leave you filling
out countless fraudulent internet complaint forms but never getting your money
back, and of course no car, either.
The common adage, "if it's too good to be true, its a rip off" was never more
appropriate then when Ebay is concerned!
