I had to repace my right front pin. It was bent at the front. I think the
wheel had hard contact with something. I made a new pin from some tool steel
that I'm pretty confident won't fatique in my life time and replaced all the
bolts with grade eight quality ones.

Has anyone else noticed how difficult these cars are to truely improve upon.
With the exception of the engine mods and a larger raidiator, most
modifications I have seen have a downside that rears its head after a short
time. I think Tom Hall can testify to how hard it is to improve upon the
Tiger. He's put a lot of work into the improvements he's done. My brother
had a Pantera a long time ago, and it was no where near as finished a car as
the Tiger.

If I remember correctly, I don't recall being too impressed with the quality
of the factory pins. I heard a Rootes engineer was quoted as saying, "Who
thought people would still be driving these cars forty years on."

I had a mechanic tell me that he believed NOTHING made today will be
serviceable in forty years, for various reasons.
