?
I agree.? When we authenticate Tigers we see some pretty bizarre issues and
like you I find it amazing?when we mention Sunbeam Specialties or Classic
Sunbeams?that they're unknown.? But it is also surprising that there are
adults today that don't know about Google searches to find such resources.?I
feel quite blessed to have been exposed to?personal computers and tthe
internet in my lifetime. Not everyone has been so fortunate.

Steve,

I appreciate the shop might do good quality work, and i do take your
point about what happens when a sunbeam goes to a good
trimmer/restorer etc and they dont have a knowledge of the cars so
either replicate the errors/incorrect parts on the car or adlib if
there is nothing to follow.... what i dont get is how people in the
USA dont know about Sunbeam Specialties or Classic Sunbeam. They are
on the internet, they are in hemmings and they are widely known
amoungst sunbeam comminities... how disinterested in the car must you
be to not be able to find these suppliers... ?

The

> OK,
>
> that is the Tiger i was reffering to, I wonder if it was a real sale.
> At close to 50K there are lots of other Tigers i would be looking at
> before that car.. not sure what auction fees the buyer also pays, but
> they certainly havent looked around and havent done their reserach.
>
> I dont have first hand experience of USA classic auctions but have
> seen some very high prices on average tigers only for the car to be on
> ebay weeks later with a dealer... i wonder how amny are true sales...
> then ther eare also many very solid/good cars that dont get any
> interest.. seesm odd that the shady ones always seem to "sell" for a
> good price only to be advertised quickly after.. and the honest cars
> dont...
>
> keep an eye on ebay i guess!

> > That sounds like the tiger that was on ebay last year and had made
a
> > few appearences on ebay in the last couple of years.. do you have a
> > link to the listing? I would be interested to see if it's the same
> > car.. if it is.. the result is either bad news for the new buyer or
> > perhaps not a real sale.
