In the book Triumph TRs
"       As with the TR3A, the TR3B as a model name didn't officially exist"
They looked identical and 3331 cars were built for north America, the first 500 
cars had the 1991cc engine the balance wre in the TCF series and had 2138cc 
engines, boyh models used the TR4 all syncro gearbox

I¹ve seen a lot of postings referring to either TR3A¹s or B¹s, but what¹s the 
difference between them?  Is it related simply to the year of production, or 
something else?

My father used to have a TR3 (¹63), but I have no idea whether it would have 
been classified as an A or B...
