Jeff,

Thank Tony, not me. I just remembered I had archived his post from over
a year ago!  ;-)

I think larger washers, to the extent they do not foul the outside lip
of the pan is a good idea. 

FWIW, Ken Streeter has posted a nice, cleaned up version of Tony's
advice on the VTR web site, in the maintenance section.
