Greg, in the VB catalog, high output coils are "not for use with electronic
ignition". However, Ted Schumacer sold me one for my TR8 so who knows?

Replaced wires, rotor, cap, coil, plugs after recently rebuilding carbs
on my '78 TR7. All went well for about 100 miles when the motor died
with a small whimper.

Been checking as time permits and there is no spark. All wires are
tight. Rotor and cap are fitting together snugly.

Motor turns over smartly and all other electricals seem normal.

My suspect? She has the original electronic ignition. Also, I am
wondering about the Lucas Sport Coil. Should I have changed something
else (ballast, bilge water, honey bucket)? Folks at TRF said a
straight swap was all that was needed.

Suggestions on how to confirm or deny the above allegations and any
other guesses would be greatly appreciated.
