Eastwood*s header paint is really only for manifolds -- it is thin enough to
seep into the craggy surface of (blasted) cast iron.  I used it on a Spitfire 
manifold,
and most of it burns off upon startup, but enough remains to *sort of* keep
away rust, and it does make the manifold look slightly better than if you used
nothing at all.  Header metal is too smooth for the paint, and it won*t hold.
  
As for Jet Hot, a friend of mine on an E-type list says that some people have 
had
the coating chip and flake off over time.  He suggests ... and I agree ... that 
the 150
bucks you will spend on a Jet-coating is better spent elsewhere on
your car.  Buy header wrap, and use the (considerable) leftover money on another
 improvement.

If your header rusts away in 10 years ... then you*ll get another one.

Now ... where is that metallic suit of mine?
