No, do not put in bearing size different than what the last regrind was
for.  Your wear may only be 4-6 thou and the caps will bind if you try
to put in the next size.  Also, your wear is never round.  The journals
are very egg shaped by this time.  Either put in the .020 size again,
use thicker oil, and hope you get more than 8000 miles out of it, or do
the whole rebuild thing.

You might try straight weight 40 or 50 for starters, just to see what it
does.  Change the oil often, every 3000-4000 miles.
