My guess would also go to horn relay... mostly because of 'klaxon' (horn)
stamped on it.

'brevete' means it's been certified by someone in france.
'etranger' can mean foreigner... possible this unit's made for export

Does it click when you sound the horn? (unplug horns before doing this,
or you won't hear it :-))

I'd say it's not a TR part (being made in France), so someone else has
already gone and replaced it. A horn relay is just a switch that lets you
use lots of current (horns need lots) without having all the current go
through the user-operated switch.

A primitive remote control... that way, you can't get zapped if the
pushbutton switch fails; and if you do, it's not going to be that bad.

Horn relays are cheap and easy to get. The difficulty is in hooking them
up. If the wire connections aren't obvious at the relay, you may want to
remove the cover (if possible), figure out which wire goes to the coil
inside and which wire(s) attach to the breaker points, and replace the
unit with a see-through type, hooking up the wires the same way.
