Well , I started the winter project and removed the seats and carpet
from the Spit. I think I will need new pans on both sides as the outside
edges are rusted through in many places. The question is, is it better to
use a nibbler and remove them or drill out the spot welds. Also the inner
sills look bad and need replacing. As it looks like you need to remove support
bolts to replace the pan, where do you support the body if you remove
the bolts? Also there seems to be two types of pans listed for the Spit,
OEM or Repo. Repo is cheaper but are they the same gauge? Thanks
for the advise.
