Hi listmembers! My name is Dorian Yeager, I live in Renton WA, and my
parents have a 195? Tiger Cub in a shed. I am in a bit of a jam as it is now.
My father has decided that the motorcycle, which was my mothers since the late
60's, and stored since the early 70's, needs to go. Neither she nor I want
that. He seems to think the time and money necessary to restore it are beyond
it's monetary and/or sentimental value. As I know next to nothing about
motorcycles, and even less about Triumph motorcycles, I figured a Triumph
mailing list had to be the best place to try for some help.
I've been on automobile lists, and they have been immensely
informative. I am
hoping this one will be the same! The motorcycle was put away in running
condition, and looks to be almost 100% complete, but would need rechroming and
paint, along with I would think an engine rebuild. I guess what I would like
to know is, how do I tell what year it is, and how much is it worth as is, and
restored? I personally think it is a pretty cool looking motorcycle, and
wouldn't mind restoring it and riding it myself, when I get some more money,
and fewer other projects. The only distinguishing marking I saw on it, besides
all the other "Triumph" markings (on the tank, and on the rubber knee pads on
the tank) was the "Triumph Tiger Cub" on the left side of the crankcase(?)
However, a prospective buyer is coming Wedneseday, and I would hate to
see it
go...as it is now, if he does sell it, I can bet later on he will regret it..I
know he does some of the other vehicles he has sold in the past (don't we
all?) Anyway, any help, and/or direction would be great! Thanks in advance,
look forward to talking to all of you!

                                        Dorian
