If you plan on severe braking from high speeds every 10-15 seconds over a
sustained period of time, to the point where the brake disks start to glow
and the friction developed between the pads and the disks reduces to the
point where you can no longer "almost" lock the front wheels, then a set of
properly-drilled rotors (together with cool air ducts to the brakes) will
have a positive effect on braking efficiency.

Otherwise, drilling the rotors is unlikely to do more than reduce the
effective surface area between the rotors and the pads.

Nevertheless, with a set of wires or spoked magnesium wheels (to make them
visible) drilled and/or grooved brake rotors do look awful nice.
