Are there any sounds at all coming from the rear end under acceleration?  If 
this was a front wheel drive car I would say take a close look at the front 
wheel bearings, but as this is a rear wheel drive solid axle car I am not 
sure if this would apply.  Still, check the rear for bearing play, brake 
drums removed.
