Additionally, and I know this sounds silly but its true, the leg resting on a
dead pedal provides much more feedback than a foot resting on the floor.
Apparently we are sensitive to forces acting on the soft tissues, g forces
and such (no need to suppose what 'and such' means in this context!). Ford
Motorsport used to sell a really nice dead pedal, from a Taurus SHO I think.
