Hey,
Its starting to look like a car again. My neighbor (rebuilding a 78 Scout)
and my friend (rebuilding a 46 Jeep) helped me lift the body (now with
floors) back onto the frame. Today I hung the right side fenders by a
couple of screws to check panel alignment. Looks pretty good, small
adjustments and it will pass.
My question: does anyone have a method for selecting the number of body
mounting pads at each point? It looks to me that the number of pads can
shim the body up and provide these small adjustments, thus reducing the
time spent trying to tweak panels. If not, then I'll just jam the same
number of pads that I took out of each spot, then adjust so that
floors/body mounting points are close to the frame, without wiggles.
