I"m surprised that you got no penetration. With tta gauge wire, you should
have been burning through sheet metal. Any time we do body work, we use an
.025 wire.... though the flux core makes it tricky. You might want to drop a
few extra bucks and rent a real MIG machine. The Flux core would be okay for
welding regular stock, but you'll get alot more control and better result
from a gas machine with .025 wire.

Its also possible you had the feed speed too high. With the Flux core
machine we have, we put the heat up high and the speed way low.
