Listers:

This is just my opinion, but if I had 5K to spend on TR6 engine
modification, it would sprout two more cylinders in a V configuration! What
kind of dyno numbers did you get after dropping that kind of money?
Heck, for five thousand, I'd leave my TR as is, and find a nice used late
eighties Mustang 5.0 convertible. You'd have the fuel injection, 3 times the
horsepower and torque, a 5 speed gearbox, and a power top (with a glass back
window) AND A/C for that same cash outlay!
Unless money is no object, you really have to step back and look at how much
bang you get for the buck!

--------------
You are right to some point Paul. For the money I have invested in this car
up to now I could have bought an AMG V8 Mercedes here and this
car is not floating around on the road like the Mustangs.Tax and
insurance would have set me back a good 2500$ a year for a
Mustang,for my 6 it's all together 220$. You know I have my 6 now
for 28 years and it's better than new, I'm a kind of married to that
car, don't tell my wife, and I was in fact tired of all the Lucas
problems,so the alternative was go to Webers or to EFY.Almost
every body here got Webers and only a few are happy with their
fuel consumtion, and gaz here is more than 4$ a gallon.
As I said the power has not increased that much ,around 25%
but the torque has improved compared to the Lucas injection.
I think in the U.S. you can find a suitable system for TRs for less
money, the only problem remains mapping and calibration.
